RECEIVING YOUR MOCHI ICE CREAM
WHAT IS THE RIGHT WAY TO ENJOY MOCHI?
Storing Mochi for Optimal Freshness and Taste
Our mochi ice cream is shipped in insulated coolers packed with dry ice and ship with FedEX to ensure that you get your order in perfect condition. We include enough dry ice to keep the mochi frozen for at least 5 hours after delivery. PLEASE TRANSFER THE MOCHI ICE CREAM INTO YOUR FREEZER ASAP. All our packages are marked 'shipper release' meaning they do not require a recipient signature. This ensures that the package arrives at your door and will not be brought back to the facility for attempted re-delivery.
If for any reason your package is delayed and your product arrives in less than perfect condition, simply contact us within 12 hours of the delivery time with a photo of the the package. Our customer service team will promptly review your order for a replacement on the next available shipping date.
When your order arrives, it will be frozen and be too cold to eat immediately. We suggest you transfer the mochi into your freezer and allow 2 hours for it to temper. If you wish to eat your mochi ice cream sooner, simply place them somewhere room temperature and allow 15-20 minutes and they will be ready to enjoy.
A Versatile Treat: Enjoy Our Mochi Frozen or Defrosted
Our mochi is crafted with a special technique that allows you to savor its deliciousness in both frozen and defrosted states. Unlike traditional ice cream that melts and drips, our mochi retains its shape and transforms into a delightful mousse-like texture when defrosted.
While both frozen and defrosted mochi offer a unique culinary experience, we recommend waiting for 30 minutes after removing them from the freezer to achieve the optimal consistency of the mochi skin and fillings. This brief waiting period allows the mochi to soften slightly, ensuring a perfectly balanced and enjoyable treat.
Whether you prefer the refreshing coolness of frozen mochi or the indulgent creaminess of defrosted mochi, our versatile creations are sure to satisfy your cravings and delight your senses.
We recommend waiting at least 60 minutes out of freezer before enjoying your mochi, all the fruits to be fully defrosted.
To ensure your mochi remains fresh and delicious, follow these storage guidelines:
Long-Term Storage: For extended storage, freeze your mochi. This method preserves their quality and allows them to be stored for up to one month.
Refrigerated Storage: If you prefer to keep your mochi in the refrigerator, consume them within one day after defrosting.
Thawing Instructions: Once defrosted, do not refreeze the mochi. Enjoy them within one day of being stored in the refrigerator.
By following these storage recommendations, you can ensure that your mochi always delivers the perfect balance of texture and flavor.
